In front of us is 21 of March which is international day of Forests and a lot of events are
held all over the world that present the social, ecological and economic functions of forests, with the
aim of the events being to focus the global community on the protection of this resource. The flora
and fauna of forests are a natural wealth, to which we owe clean air and water, as well as a natural
environment for the life and development of a variety of plants and animals. In addition, forests also
have important economic importance for the economy of a given country. Therefore, everyone is
responsible for the protection of this natural wealth, for its development and rational use for the
sake of the country's well-being. Today, on the International Day of Forests, it is important to
remember that the forest is one of the main ecosystems on Earth, which maintains the biological
balance of the planet. The forest ecosystem encompasses the entire set of forest organisms (trees,
shrubs, grasses, fungi, bacteria, animals, including humans), together with their natural substrate
(surrounding air, water, soils, organic matter and rocks), which interact within certain territorial
(spatial) boundaries. It provides a home and refuge for animal species, regulates air currents and
precipitation, protects soils from erosion, and purifies the air.
By marking this important day for the existence of the planet, we E.Miroglio JSC become
part of the efforts of the global community to protect forests and the habitat of all living organisms
in them. The flora and fauna, some of which we see in these photos, need support to be part of our
lives in the future.
